Methodology for Substantiating Tactical and Technical Requirements of Terrestrial Robotic Complexes

Abstract

Purpose. To develop a scientific and methodological approach to substantiating the tactical and technical requirements for ground robotic systems based on forecasting the determining requirements, identifying patterns of scientific and technological development, and applying mathematical forecasting models.

Method. The study employs a combination of systems analysis, analysis and synthesis, scientific and technological forecasting methods, mathematical modelling, regression analysis, the least squares method, statistical data processing methods, and optimisation techniques.

Findings. A methodology for forecasting the determining tactical and technical requirements for ground robotic systems is proposed. The study substantiates the classification of requirements into determining and derived categories, identifies the applicability of linear, exponential, logistic, and stepwise models for forecasting technological development, and demonstrates their use in the subsequent optimisation of the tactical and technical characteristics of ground robotic systems.

Theoretical implications. The research advances the scientific and methodological foundations for forecasting the technological development of ground robotic systems and for substantiating their tactical and technical requirements.

Practical implications. The proposed methodology can be applied to the development of tactical and technical requirements, the design of advanced ground robotic systems, and decision support for their development and procurement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
