Proposals for the Search of Damaged Armored Vehicles in Combat Conditions
Abstract
Purpose. To substantiate and develop proposals for a comprehensive approach to searching for damaged armored vehicles in combat areas using modern technical reconnaissance means, including the integrated application of unmanned aerial vehicles, marking and geolocation devices, and digital situational awareness systems, in order to reduce detection time, increase information completeness, and minimize risks to personnel.
Method. The study employs system and comparative analysis of modern technical reconnaissance approaches, methods of structural and functional synthesis and modeling to form an integrated search system for damaged armored vehicles, as well as probabilistic methods to assess the effectiveness of the combined use of detection means.
Findings. A comprehensive approach to searching for damaged armored vehicles is substantiated, combining the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, marking and geolocation devices, and the integration of reconnaissance data into a digital situational awareness system, which ensures reduced detection time and increased effectiveness of technical reconnaissance.
Practical value of the study. The obtained results can be used by units of the National Guard of Ukraine and other components of the defense forces to improve the organization of technical reconnaissance, reduce the time required to detect damaged armored vehicles, enhance the safety of repair and evacuation units, and improve decision-making efficiency regarding evacuation and recovery under combat conditions.
Future research. Further research should focus on developing practical recommendations for improving the evacuation technology of damaged armored vehicles through the implementation of new technical solutions, including automated route determination tools, evacuation prioritization, and integration with digital command and control systems.
