About the Journal

The scientific journal “Social Development and Security” is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes the results of scientific research in the field of National Security and Defense and operates in accordance with the current requirements for the formation of the List of Scholarly Professional Publications of Ukraine.

The journal aims to develop scientifically grounded approaches to ensuring national security, the functioning of the security and defense sector, and improving the effectiveness of managerial, organizational, and technological solutions in this field. The journal takes into account the experience of foreign countries and the activities of supranational security organizations (in particular NATO and the European Union), and promotes international scientific communication and the integration of Ukrainian science into the global academic and educational space.

Submission Priorities

Priority is given to studies that:

  • present a clearly defined research problem and methodology;
  • are based on modern quantitative and qualitative methods;
  • include empirical results or well-grounded theoretical models;
  • have practical relevance for the security and defense sector.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary research in the field of security; however, it does not accept narrowly specialized engineering or technical papers that are not directly related to the functioning of security and defense systems.
